Delia Porras
Delia Porras is a contemporary theatre artist, practitioner and facilitator based in Scotland, with 28 years of professional experience spanning from international performance to community arts. Her artistic identity is defined by a hybrid approach between raw human movement and digital landscapes. She works primarily as a deviser and conceptualist, building narratives through a synthesis of physical theatre, heightened visual design, and interactive projection mapping.
Her community portfolio includes facilitating drama therapy for adults with learning disabilities, designing puppets for collaborative charity projects, and directing original youth productions.
Delia holds a BA (Hons) in Drama & Theatre Arts (Contemporary Performance in Action) from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. Her foundational practice was shaped in Madrid, Spain, where she studied Stage, Costume, and Lighting Design at the Universidad Complutense, alongside intensive actor training at the Academia de Teatro Triángulo. She has further expanded her physical movement vocabulary through deep studies in Butoh and Noguchi Taiso under the facilitation of Imre Thormann. Today, she continues to create from her base in East Lothian.
